What You Won't Do in Hell
Kyle Campbell
Have you ever heard anyone say in reference to God’s laws, “Do I have to?” or “The Bible does not say that you have to?” With such an attitude the day will come when they will be happy! How little God actually does ask of us will be realized by all those who today think, “I do not have to do what God says, He is a God of love, etc.” The Bible describes hell vividly and it is a place that no one wants to go. They may not realize it yet, but they will if they go there. God isn’t willing that any should perish, but if you do, it'll be completely up to you. Here’s a list of a few things that you won’t have to do in hell:
You won’t have to attend all of the services of the church. You won’t have to get out of bed early on Sunday morning and get dressed.
You won’t have to worship God. There will be no more singing, praying, partaking of the Lord’s Supper, giving your money or listening to sermons.
You won’t have to love God. There won’t be any more commandments to keep or no more giving of our lives as a living sacrifice. No more wrangling over walking by faith, whether this was scriptural or not. You’ll wish that you would’ve had a greater respect for God’s Word, as well as its silence.
You won’t have to love your neighbor. There is no more loving your spouse, neighbor, parents, friends or enemies. There won’t be any one to tell the “wonderful story of love” to, for it’s too late!
You won’t have to stand for the truth again. Your friends may have made fun of you, so you can become like them and hide your light under a bushel. You feared them more than you feared God.
Maybe you think you’re not going to hell. You may think you'll change before you die. But hell will be full of people who had the same thought! You may believe that God’s too good to send you to hell (2 John 9; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Matthew 7:21-22; Hebrews 10:26-31). You could reject God and take your chances or you could have faith in His Word and come to Him this very hour. It’s your choice to make!
