God Knows How We Are Made

God knows how we are made_canva.png

"If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well" (Psalm 139:11-14, KJV).

Psalm 139 should be read in its entirety to understand how God sees the big picture of our lives. Nothing is hidden from God. God was there when we were being formed in the womb. God knows where we've been, where we are and where we are going. No one can find a place to hide from Him. He knows thoughts, intentions, your cares, concerns, heartaches and your every need. God can fix us when we are broken because He made us!

The story is told about Henry Ford who was a passenger in one of his new Fords. The car engine started making noises and the car ended up on the side of the road. The man driving Mr. Ford was amused that Mr. Ford got of the car dressed in his suit and business clothes and commenced to exploring under the hood. The driver replied, "That's a new Ford. Only a trained mechanic can get this engine running right. In a few minutes Mr. Ford had the engine running like it should. The driver asked him, "How did you get to know so much about car engines?" Mr. Ford replied, "I designed this car."

God has designed both you and me. When we are broken, He can fix us. What is broken in your life today? You know, the biggest thing that causes us to be broken is sin. Sin separates us from God (
Isaiah 59:2). In our helpless state, God sent His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on a cross for your and my sins (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). Jesus tasted death for each of us and on the third day He arose from the grave overcoming death and soundly defeating Satan's hold on mankind (Isaiah 25:8; 1 Corinthians 15:56-57; Revelation 1:18).

It is built into man to seek His Creator. God has set the world, meaning eternity, in our hearts (
Ecclesiastes 3:11). We have an awareness of "something more". Even those who never heard of God know by the things created, such as the sun, moon, stars, trees, etc., there must be a Creator and an awareness of many rights and wrongs. (See Psalm 19;1ff; Acts 14:17; Romans 1:18-22). God has made us that we should seek the Lord and feel after Him, and He is not very far from everyone one of us (Acts 17:27).

God knows all about you. Are you seeking to know all about Him? Are you broken today? If you are still in your sins, you are broken in a way that will condemn you soul to torment in a burning Hell. But there is real hope! God sent Jesus to die for you. God can fix your lost condition through Jesus only (
John 14:6). But you must come to Him believing in Jesus Christ with all your heart, believing He died for you and arose from the dead; turn from sins in repentance, confess your faith in Jesus Christ, be baptized into Him and live faithfully for Him.
