Sexual Immorality

Sexual Immorality_canva .png

We read in 1 Cor. 6:18: “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” Also, in Heb. 13:4 the writer says: “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”

The prevalence of adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, living together without marriage, pedophilia, pornography, and such like, have become descriptive of a culture that has been sucked into the vortex of sexual disorder and confusion. “Barnyard morality”, or better yet, “Barnyard immorality” is slowly but surely becoming the order of the day! The abandonment of moral foundations that are clearly laid out in God’s Word, is resulting in a plethora of sexually deviant actions. The result of psychological, emotional, spiritual, and physical havoc on individuals involved, and on society at large, is clearly seen. Yes, there is a high price to be paid for sexual immorality. One said: “The wicked are punished now not so much FOR their sin as they are BY their sin.”

What is the remedy for the plague of sexual immorality? First Corinthians 6:18 says FLEE! Titus 2:11-12 says: Just say NO! But If you do not understand that, Joseph, is our example. When Potiphar’s wife did her best to seduce him to commit adultery with her, he said: “You are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?” Joseph then literally FLED! I am pleading for a return to God’s moral standard. Think on these things.
